About FKF

The Friends of Karura Forest is a Community Forest Association founded in 2009. It jointly manages the forest to ensure it is safe and secure for public recreation, creates a healthy indigenous ecosystem, and provides livelihoods for local communities. The association has transformed Karura into one of Kenya’s most popular destinations.
